Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessment
This course is aimed at enabling users of Display Screen Equipment (DSE), to perform a self-assessment of their workstation, at home or in the office, to ensure the correct use of DSE and to protect their health and well-being.  DSE is a term that covers a wide range of equipment. If DSE equipment is not set up correctly, users are at increased risk from certain disorders. As an employee, you share the responsibility to keep yourself safe at work. That means undergoing relevant training and ensuring the proper use of DSE.

Course Agenda

Understand the health risks from prolonged DSE use — eye strain, posture, fatigue. Learn to set up workstation ergonomics correctly. Adjust chair, monitor, and keyboard to reduce strain. Follow best practices for breaks and posture variation. Manage lighting and glare for comfort. Recognize symptoms of repetitive strain injury (RSI). Conduct self-assessments of workstation setup. Report DSE-related issues promptly. Know employer and employee responsibilities under DSE regulations. Promote healthy screen habits and workspace awareness.
