Paediatric First Aid Theory
The purpose of this course is to provide First Aid appropriately and effectively to an ill or injured child or infant before the arrival of qualified medical assistance.

Course Agenda

Understand the importance of first aid for infants and children. Learn how to assess a child’s condition and ensure scene safety. Recognize and respond to choking, bleeding, burns, and fractures. Perform CPR on infants and children safely. Treat shock, seizures, and allergic reactions appropriately. Manage head injuries and unconsciousness in young patients. Know infection control principles when treating children. Understand when to seek emergency help and how to communicate effectively. Keep accurate accident and incident records. Maintain calm, reassurance, and child-friendly communication during emergencies.
